Job Title: Web Master

Position based at: Islamabad

Department: Media Law & Policy Department

Report To: Media Law & Policy Advisor

Salary: Rs. 30,000/- per month

SUMMARY

The Webmaster will lead the web-based technical support and back-up for the organization's online database development.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES – others may be assigned  

1. Create and maintain a series of dynamic websites for Internews Pakistan
2. Continuously revise, improve and upgrade the technical parameters of the websites
3. Improve the visual appeal and content management of the websites
4. Manage databases and develop browsing, downloading and search capacities
5. Develop audio visual interface for the multimedia resources of the websites
6. Upload content daily for the websites
7. Create and implement effective projection and marketing of the websites on the Net
8. Design and maintain regular web related newsletters and related mailing lists
9. Develop XML codes and maintain regular RSS feeds for the websites
10. Assist the development of web related resources and content
11. Monitor web trends and technical space for ideas for continuous upgrades

QUALIFICATIONS

•  A degree in Computer Science
•  Good understanding of website development and content management
•  At least two years experience in web development and content management
•  Good English and Urdu language skills
•  Expert at software development and development of online database
•  Should be a team player
•  Should be ready to work under pressure of deadlines
