open for Jefferson Fellowships Applications are
now open for print and broadcast journalists working
in the Asia-Pacific region to apply for a Jefferson
Fellowship. Selected fellows will participate in
a study tour from October 15 until November 12 that
involves visiting Hawaii , Japan , Thailand and
India to discuss a wide range of demographic and
social issues facing countries throughout the Asia-Pacific
region and the United States . Journalists need
a minimum of five years of experience to apply.
The application deadline is Wednesday June 21, 2006
