This Intermedia project aims to monitor the print media in Pakistan to map the coverage of political and electoral issues.
This initiative seeks to determine Pakistani print media's priorities in reporting on a host of sub-issues related to the larger political and electoral framework.
During the project (March 2009 to December 2010), the following activities will be undertaken:
Daily monitoring of mainstream Pakistani print media including English and Urdu newspapers as well as other weekly and monthly periodicals
Monitoring of coverage of issues related to elections, Election Commission of Pakistan, local governments, politics, political parties, political opinion and other key organizations working on legislative strengthening.
Production of a total of about 450 daily Monitoring Reports (five times a week) for a period of 22 months.
